The Department of Labour Welfare was established in 1958 as post-graduate department in School of Social Sciences, Gujarat University. It has witnessed 54 years of imparting value education to the leaders of Human Resource Management in industries as well as Government and Non-Government organization.
Our aim is to provide quality, education for developing the correct attitude and aptitude among future HR managers.
Department has easily adapted if self to various changes in business and industries by constantly updating and upgrading its course curriculum and structure. As a result department now has choice base credit system in which the curriculum divided into 4 semesters, having 16 theory courses, industries visits, summer internship, NGO group work training, seminars & workshop and major project.
The Department believes that in a growing and competitive Indian and global market, HR professional have to move beyond traditional operational roles of recruitment, selection training etc into finding ways of developing strategic competitiveness of human resource capital developed.
