The Department of Labour Welfare has witnessed 53 glorious
years of imparting knowledge and value learning in the form
of management education and practical training to the leaders
of tomorrow. Established in 1956 as a post graduate Department
in School of Social Science, Gujarat University. The Department
has been rendering valuable services by grooming managers in
the making into tomorrow's men and women of substance.
The department has easily adapted itself to the various changes in the business scenario by constantly updating its teaching methodologies and techniques and curricula.
In our Department, the aim is to equip the students for the corporate world by providing quality management education. The course focuses on inculcating the attitude and the knowledge needed to face the challenges of today's competitive business scenario.
Another aim is to impart HUMAN REOURCE MANAGEMENT AND LABOUR WELFARE training to its student and to provide prospective HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGERS, PERSONNEL MANAGERS AND LABOUR WELFARE OFFICERS to the industries and other organizations.
We believe that in a growing and competitive Indian market, HR professionals need to move beyond traditional operational roles of recruitment, training etc. to finding ways of developing strategic competitiveness of the HUMAN RESOURCE deployed, as a valid measure in the profit and loss account and the balance sheet.
